Kawaguchiko, Mt.Fuji

Lake Kawaguch-ko is one of the five lakes surrounding the foot of Mt. Fuji. It is the second largest among five lakes and the circumference is 19 km. The lake is a popular year round destination for camping, bass fishing, wind surfing, and other water sports activities. The inverted image of Mt. Fuji reflected on the lake surface is indeed beautiful and is admired by the Japanese who call it 'Sakasa Fuji' ('Inverted Mt. Fuji'). View spots around this lake include the Oishi Koen (park), Kawaguchiko Herb Hall, the Kawaguchi-ko Music Forest (Automatic Musical Instrument UKAI Museum) which houses the world's largest automatic organ, and other attractions. Among the many museums by the lake, the Doll Museum and the Automobile Museum are two unique museums worth a visit. Old style tour shuttle buses run between these museums and are popular with visitors. The highway bus is operated from Shinjuku, it is conveinient by access.
